Use this form to indicate your child's preference for a "buddy." We will do our best to put your child with at least one person on this list for both daytime teams and dorm room assignments.
The information provided on this form will ensure that the chaperones have correct information on your students allergies and health during the trip to Space Camp.
Windham Academy expects students to follow the general behavioral expectations and policies of the school. In addition, the following code of conduct applies during trips outside of school:
Students Will:
Behave in a way that positively represents Windham Academy at all times.
Follow the instructions of staff and supervising adults.
Take responsibility for their actions and do nothing to endanger themselves or others.
Show courtesy and respect towards others including the general public and other travelers.
Keep their spaces clean and pick up after themselves.
Avoid being disruptive to other travelers.
Follow the rules of any mode of transportation including remaining seated and facing forward, using any seatbelts or safety devices as required, and following instructions.
Remain with the group at all times.
Immediately report any accidents, damage, or concerns to an adult.
Use appropriate language at all times.
Be kind and inclusive to others in the group.
Electronics Policy:
Students are permitted to bring phones/tablets for limited purposes
Phone/tablet use is limited as follows: entertainment (music/audiobooks, movies, games) during travel, contact home at specified times (call or text).
Phones/tablets will not be used for texting/calling anyone except parents/guardians
Headphones are to be used for any music/movies/games with sound
Students are NOT permitted to use social media apps during the trip for any reason (TikTok, Facebook, SnapChat, etc)
Students may not use YouTube or other internet video apps during the trip.
Photos/Videos: No photos/videos are to be taken of other students without consent. No photos/videos are to be taken of the general public/other travelers for any reason. No photos/videos are to be taken in the dorms. There is zero tolerance for this.
If a student misuses their phone/table, a warning will be given. If the behavior continues, the device will be taken by an adult and the parent notified.
By signing below, you agree to follow this code of conduct for the duration of the trip. Students who do not follow these guidelines will receive a consequence as appropriate including a warning, parent contact or sitting out an activity. Repeated or serious behavior issues may result in a student being removed from the trip at parent/guardian expense.
